Hello Jay: It sounds like to me that you are a very strong and determined man. 20 years of fighting cancer takes a strong will to stay alive and beat this dreaded disease.

Congratulations my friend. I believe that we will leave this world when it's our time and it's clearly not your time. Take care of yourself...Bill

Well I am glad you are still here to share your talent with us. Really well done, great rhyme and heart felt. Death is scary, even when we know what waits on the other side. My sis had cancer 11yrs ago and it going strong, much younger than her age says, I think you are too.

Hi Jay,

Good for you, beating that dreaded disease! I am saddened to hear of your first wife's demise at the hand of the big "C." This is, as always, flawlessly written, with a lot of heart. Nothing here for me to suggest you consider improving upon. Thank you for sharing and stay well, my friend. Jan :-)

Oh my - I'm glad you beat cancer. And sorry for the loss of your wife. It's a horrible enemy that stalks us all. This is a heartfelt poem - very good. It does come with treachery. Thanks for being brave enough to share.
