This is such a beautiful Sonetino, Marilyn. I absolutely love the serene feelings it brings, and the poem makes me think of being in a place of prayer where the whole world is shut out. It is such a special feeling you've created. I know this will do well in the contest. Good luck! (as if you needed it. ;p )

Looks like you did a great job with this Sonnetino. Excellent rhyming. Good flow. I love the calm you describe. So peaceful. I especially enjoyed 'No need to act, to think, nor word be spoke'. Resting in being still. Nice work ... Best wishes in the contest! :)

Well, this is marvelous - so serene. Though I can hardly imagine it's only your second sonnetino, I do know you've a lot of experience writing poetry, so it's not surprising you have another gem to add to your collection. Best of luck in the contest.

Wow! I don't know where you are but I would love to join you there. You mat not believe this, but a feeling of peace and calm fell over me as I read this. The picture was okay but its importance was dimmed by the words. Good work.

Excellent "cause and effect" sonnetino Marilyn :-)

Your vivid opening stanza paints a no questions about
it scene of serenity and your closing couplet makes it
very clear the effect of the scenery is to have erected
an impregnable bubble of sacred harmony :-)

Nicely done :-)

This sonnetino, Calm, uses the proper setup and shows us a state of mind that removes one from the chaotic strife that surrounds our environment. Nice.

A calm and quiet meditation upon the goodness of God and his greatness, His majesty, His power and the fact that in comparison to all his powerful creations: Galaxies, planets, his son Christ Jesus, the angelic host, etc. He still has the time to consider this small planet and man who he created in his own majestic image.

For a second attempt at a sonnetino, this is quite good. I enjoyed your peaceful, contemplative imagery:

"Calm bathes, surrounds, enfolds me in its cloak.
No need to act, to think, nor word be spoke."

I think we can find this State of Grace within. It is a peaceful, restful place.

Thank you for sharing the results of your budding talent as a sonnetino writer.

An aptly entitled worked. One can feel the calm ooze from the piece. Reading it brings one to his own peaceful place. Nothing is forced, the words float along. A job well done.
