Hello, Gypsy;
-All that is required for haiku is an exemplary of this poem. Everything that contains in this haiku is a reflection of an excellent representation of what I haiku should be.
-The contextual theme or I should say the conceptual theme represents to me the serenity and tranquility of nature compared to that of human nature and the behavioral aspects of purity. This is found to be in the Lotus flower as it should be in the human soul.
-Thank you for sharing, gypsy, and take care and have a good one.

Yet another well executed haiku. The imagery is vivid and the satori a unique observation of the overall scene. Nicely done and thank you for sharing it.

Hi GBR,
white is the colour for purity and innocence so the white lotus flower is just perfect and the beauty of a geisha girl just mirrors that. the two compliment each other perfectly.
I like this one.

Very beautiful. White is is typically known for purity and honesty in many cultures. Buddhism has a deep reverence for the white lotus flower. Such a wonderful haiku, your first two lines capture the essence of the white lotus and your satori is "humble perfection"
The pink lotus is my favourite

I like the concept of "humble perfection" and appreciated your addition of Buddha's quote plus the "serene splendor" of the geisha in the image. Buddha hugs back at you- Joan

Awesome overall presentation. Strong imagery in your first 2 lines that would stand without the picture. A good aha moment in the satoru with layered meaning. Well done - wish I had a 6 left for this one

I really like this one. The lotus has always been my favorite flower. I like the 'blank canvas' description of it too. Beautiful Haiku and with your usual superb artistic presentation. I still have a lot to learn, but with every post you and Dean write, I find I am learning a lot.
