I'm putting together.
Shana wants to find her family's stolen relics
or is it just a plaiting that her parents had.
So Anderson is the one who is doing the search?

There are numerous more relics, but she has only found the painting so far.

Per usual, excellent dialogue and flow. The former helps the reader gain insight regarding your characters personalities. Love where Romeo follows Shana everywhere. I have two dogs that do the same. As I'm writing I have one behind me in the chair while the other is on my lap. Well done!

Ha, it's easy to forget where certain foods come from (talking about the bacon in this case) I have to put my thinking cap on regularly as one of my daughter-in-laws is a Vegan - not an easy one to cook for.

I love nosy Jane and Helen with her bacon. I feel your story coming together here as a classic quest narrative not only to find the whereabouts of the painting, but is importance, And why Shana is being chased. I see Jane, Helen, and even Romeo as potential allies in Anderson's and Shana's quest, as Jane said, "Who knows what other valuable information I might be able to share." These characters delight me.

However the chapter it self didn't have any action/ conflict that is what make s the read want to see what is going to happen. The more conflict the more excitement equals holding interest and keeping the reader turning pages. Maybe have a kid hit a baseball through the window and ball lands on Shana plate Romeo and the other dog see it and go after the ball taking breakfast with them

Looks like the group is settling in and finding a way to get to know each other, to find a sort of comfort zone. Poor Helen just doesn't seem to know how to make or understand food without pork. Great feel to the story,
