Some may ding you for starting with the 13th letter of the alphabet, which many say is bad luck, the number 13...not the letter M. My name starts with M. Yours does not...where was I? Your flow is cohesive and makes a coherent image of hope and love. Congratulations on Honorable Mention in the ABC Contest - not MNOPL...LOL

Yes, the first four lines begin with consecutive letters and the last line can begin with any letter thank you for dropping by and reviewing!

A lovely ABC poem. True, once someones been hurt, or is afraid of love, the fear must be peeled away. The pearl is always worth it. Blessings....

A very well-written ABCpoem. Our deepest feelings are hidden for everybody, until there comes a special one who is able to ignite the flame within to reveal the precious pearl we are hiding all the time.

We're all like onions. We have many layers...or something to that effect.
It's true, June, there are those in our lives who can do this very thing for us.
Then, they leave.
I've always felt that Alfred, Lord Tennyson must have been drinking when he wrote:
"I hold it true, whate'er befall;
I feel it when I sorrow most;
'Tis better to have loved and lost
Than never to have loved at all.
I disagree.
