Wonderfully done poem for this contest. Socioeconomic biases is something people don't even recognize is there. Nicely done. Blessings, AmyJo

This 2-4-4-12, Into the Light, has a compelling tone that asks the reader to work for justice by acknowledging what is hiding in the shadows. Knowing is not enough to defeat something.

Interesting take on this poem. At a time where people are saying "happy" and "merry," this poem is a reminder that there is a darker side that needs to have light shed upon it. You've met the line and syllable count well.

I knw this is right. Many are left behind because of greed , talk, and not enough action. Good contest piece. Hope it does well.

This poem suggests a good New Year's resolution, speak out for the causes that matter. It doesn't suggest any particular issue but does remind us that speaking up can make a difference to the issues that are important.

The objective correlative of the poem. Is a subtle propaganda on the imperative of coming together as one to uphold that which is right and to bring to justice that which is wrong.

The work highlights the potential ambivalence of a united society in upholding that which is right and in the same vein upbraid the wrong.

Excellent work! Bravo!

*** stars for a great message***

Yes, so many people walk by. The homeless asks for money, food and shoes.
Maybe, they were one paycheck from staying in their home. What happened to their lives? We all have stories to tell. Some, abuse the system and get "give-me" all the time. Others, work so hard and sacrifice to make the payments. Trump smiles...what will he do for the American people.

Great photos. We can be the hands and feet of Jesus as we touch people's hearts and feed the hungry and give them clothes and a home. Yes, great message!
God bless! Happy New Year! flylikeaneagle

Great poem with an inspirational/motivational message. The poem encourages the reader to stand up for societal's injustices. Great use of word economy and rhymes.
