A very well-written bucket list poem. It is all about our deepest desires that we wish to do before we die. We are very lucky when our wishes come true. Congratulations for winning the contest.

This is a great bucket list and an inspiration to anyone who hasn't yet written one for themselves. I hope it works as well as yours has for the intention to get going on a project is something that we could all use. Here is a virtual 6

Well I have no idea how I missed this sensuous and quality top notch free verse, Mav. And having read it I can certainly see why it was the winner.

Love the part about the crazy cool fall over Niagara as that ushers in a wildly fantastic physical thrill.

And what a beautiful ending that she was more.

Exceptional all the way and in your signature blue no less, as blue is the colour of true love.

Congrats on your win.

Gloria

Wow. I am glad I decided to pop in tonight. I'm so pleased you liked this, Gloria, because it's one of the rare ones that I like too. You make me smile as you point out everything I would hope you'd like about it. Yes!
Surprised to win, but for once I feel sorta worthy. LOL
    Thanks so much.

Thanks so much, judester. I had stopped looking so I'm a little shocked. What a fun original contest. I loved your entry and I thought you'd win or maybe I'd sneak in for a tie. Well, I'm broke so I'm pleased. You're too kind. :)) mikey

Oh, THAT guy!!!! He nailed a dozen people. What a moron. Dr. Dip went back and forth with him for days. LOL
You have some wonderful and original rhymes here so the finished product is a gem! What we do, yes? :))

Your poem pulls me in takes me to another place. The note on the title indicates it is free verse, but it seems to me that rhyme is only slightly cloaked in the phrasing. The words flow as stream under the stars. Good job

That was really lovely, and possible? Some bucket lists are not achievable but the trying can be fun. I like the simple list of yours, it's sweet, loving and so romantic. I'm sure it really would be a big possibility of achieving. Good luck in the contest. :) Sandra xxx

Six for your poem. The message is so humble and therefore so meaningful. That holding hand and kiss and gentle farewell fills the bucket over and over. Very convincing. Well done and good luck, Kai

Well, this is one of the finest, sweetest free verse poems I've read in a while - I loved it. How romantic, to say that she was more than the angel sent to accompany a soul to heaven...sigh... Your use of occasional rhyme is also sublime. If I had a six it would be dancing on the image of that parachute descending from a silver cloud over Niagara... man, this was heaven!

Yowie. This is just beautiful and pretty steamy too. That sounds like an evening to dream of for sure. Love how the moon stepped in for a little morning privacy. Very clever. Truly a love poem. What a heart grab with that last long. I have something in my eye. NG

This is pretty cool, Mikey. Shh! I'm not supposed to know it's you. I've heard you say often enough how much you've learnt on the site, and this is perhaps the proof of the pudding.

I like the fairly subtle rhyming and the bucket list which turns into a love poem fairly promptly. And the much-desired tryst before dying - a bit kinky some would say, but you hide that aspect well enough to turn it into a sweet piece of romance.

Good luck - this is bound to do well.

Steve
