Aging with attitude...I just love that.

I enjoyed reading your flash fiction. It is so true...I hate it when I cannot do it anymore the things that I used to be able to do with no problem. Sometimes, I force myself to do them but pay severely afterward.

The way you had an outer and inner me....quite refreshing.

Thanks for sharing.

and thank you for your nice review. my daughter was here for Thanksgiving and brought me some Tumeric capsules she says for me to take for arthritis pain. horrible tasting black capsules - supposed to take 4 -6 a day until bottle empty. Have promised her I would. IF they do what she says they will I will shout their praises to the skies! This is for my outer me, you understand. (smile) pome lover

a well-written contest entry. I think you completed the challenge of the contest very well. Your story is very realistic and the words flowed easily. I know exactly the way you feel. It is terrible when once you were active and still feel that way inside but your physical body is wearing out and full of problems and pain.

Exquisite and poignant and poetic and funny. I thoroughly enjoyed reading and rereading your well-written entry. I believe that you have captured so well what many of those who are young at heart but no longer young of body feel. Well done!

I love your piece. Many is the time how I've wondered how the elderly must feel, or what they think. You did an excellent job of revealing that though the body may break and deteriorate, the spirit remains young; the person does not leave as the body ages. This is beautiful and sad. Thank you.

thank you, McCal, for your thoughts and comments It's really true. Every older person has a young soul inside, incredulous at the transformation. That's life. Enjoy yours and I hope you manage to get some parent time.

Great visualization!
I'm old enough to remember Tim Conway in the above mentioned skit.
He walked slow and talked slow, but he was a funny funny man.
You have us yearning for the inner prisoner in all of us.
Great job!

haha. lol. love the ending! otherwise it is a nostalgic trip to what once were. how our dreams are big but our actions can't necessarily carry them out. (kind of lie trump).
thank you for sharing!
good luck!
blessings!

You watch Mr. Trump. I think he will. He's picking knowledgeable advisers.
