What an inspiring poem...if only people would think this way about life. I sometimes struggle...unable to find the energy to do the routine tasks that seem so meaningless. I read once that you should embrace even the simplest of things, folding laundry, raking leaves...and do them well and with pride. For some reason, this poem reminds me of that.
I loved these lines:
"by glorifying the smallest life form
embracing the most distant stars
contemplating the beauty all around
be a willing beginner
a witness to the awe
in the art of living"
You have written a very powerful poem. I'm so glad I came across it.

Thanks Kelly for the excellent review. You are right about focusing on the daily routine with pride, I was told too about even washing the dishes to do it mindfully. Even though I have a dishwasher I sometimes love to hand wash some of the dishes.

If we all could realize such, how better the outcome for all the indifference and wars we have taking place. Sometimes, lately, I don't even want to watch the news, for depressing it makes me, though important.
