I haven't the words to express the power of your poem.
So simply stated: The Wisdom of the Ages!
easy flowing rhythm
powerful conclusion

Thank you for sharing this fine poem, Relda. Love persists even
though we know parting is inevitable. Composed well with good
word choices. Marilyn

Marilyn - Thanks for the encouragement. Bud's been having some really bad days - he's disgusted with requiring help to eat. Pretty stubborn. Kinda living in a what's the use frame of mind. God willing, I'm driving him to Oklahoma for Thanksgiving. I plan on turning him over to the grandkids for the week and see if he'll eat better for them. - Relda

These things are not easy. I'm in the same boat, but not to the point you are. Several of us on FS are struggling with the same issues. :) Marilyn

Your insight into the mechanisms of love has attracted my attention. You have also sustained rhyme that flows well. What a privilege to have read!

Enjoy the time you have now because it's the now that matters. Who knows what can and will happen. All we know is that we need to enjoy today like it's our last and never take those we love for granted. Sounds like you're doing everything you need to be doing. Great job

I like having screen names that we can pick what we want. You can have as much fun with them and tell people whatever you want about yourself with the name

Boyd - so good to talk to you. Between no extra time and wandering in a no-inspiration desert, it's been 7 months since I've been active on FS. Missed you folks! Thank you for your prayers. - Relda

Relda,
I'm sorry to hear that your husband is on the verge
of passing. I send you strength...which God has
been supplying to you right along. Your love for
each other and God has been proved...kind of speechless
here and with every word written...it gets worse. Sorry.
This poem is really special. I like the rhymes, message
and beauty of it.

Linda - Thank you for your encouragement. God is good and Bud is amazing. He's been cracking jokes all day and saying he's still going to make our annual trip to OK City at Thanksgiving (family tradition to see our middle son/his family once a year). His ALS started out very slow, and revved up the last 3 months. Mayo says it could slow down ... it's a small chance anyway. - Relda

I believe in small chances...
I hope your trip is pleasurable.
He can overcome.

Hello Relda,
So good to see something from you again! Great job on this poem! I give you a virtual six, as I am all out.
I love how the two stanzas are soOOO in sync with one another. Your second stanza accomplishes what is desired in the first stanza. "If wisdom trains and faith sustains" is my favourite part.
Short, to the point, and a very strong message is very well conveyed to your reader. Excellent rhyming and a smooth flow. The artwork is a perfect pairing for your poem.
A wonderful poem, Relda!

Connie - it's been a month of Sundays (seems that way - actually only 7 months or so). I've missed you and the FSfamily. Thank you for your encouragement. So good to talk to you again. - Relda

A very well-written poem with the three most important words in the Bible faith, hope and love. As long as there is love the hope and faith will never be in vain.

This is one of those snappy pieces of homespun philosophy that the card companies would lap up for an elderly person's birthday card. You need to do a few more then send them in.
