I love this, ShiftyKitty! You certainly put the four lines to great use with your rhymes, alliteration, and metaphors that have my mind creating all kinds of imagery with each read of your poem. I hope all your new doors open with ease and you find everything to keep your life filled with changing adventures. Best wishes in the contest.
Smiles,
WindyIndy :-)

A very nice four line poem about the different seasons. Using a metaphor to show the shape-shifting as the seasons struggle with the wind. Very nice poem.

Lovely poem on the four seasons! Change is necessary part of life. Change is growth. And new doors do open. We just need the courage to through them. Beautiful artwork to go with it. Well done.

Hi Starkat,

Love the breezy personification, the loose-fitting message, and the art work fits perfectly. Clever, chiming rhyme-nice job!

The poem is grand. The picture is great. Perfectly captures the four seasons in one tree. This is a very imaginative post. I want to see more like it. Not very many people use both poem and picture to convey their meaning. You do it well.

I really like this one. The flow is smooth, there aren't any awkward breaks to trip you up when you read it. The meaning is interesting. I had a bit of trouble trying to figure it out at first, and I only understood after reading the description. The rhyming worked well with the structure of the poem. I liked how you used 'shape-shift' instead of something like 'open', because it fits much better even though both words have two syllables.

I find this four-line poem both provocative and alluring. Indeed we poets do wrap the seasons in metaphors for many reasons. I especially like the image of seasons shape-shifting through new doors.
