Yeah, I feel you. So many things that doesn't make sense with much of the faiths in the world. But, hey, some people need to be told how to live in harmony and peace and how not to fear death. Others don't.
Great entry.

I appreciate your review on my entry Oh God. Mary

This is a deep and heartfelt prayer. I can understand why you would feel God is not present. There is a movie done by Johnathan Cahn called the Isaiah 9:10 Judgment, which is very eye-opening for what is going on right now. What we are experiencing is a nation that is turning from God. When this happens, God is giving us many warnings to get us to turn back to Him. The first warning was with 9-11. We are also given free reign on this earth and sadly, some will choose evil over good. Best wishes to you in the contest.

Thanks for giving me a candid review, I have heard most of what you have said from my children who are born again Christians. I do tend to be on my one in my views on religion etc. But we can only be true our selves in the long run.
Thanks again Mary

Hi Mary, I don't think you are alone at all in your views. I think many question what is going on. The answers are all in the Bible. It's amazing, but it is playing out exactly as was predicted 2,000 years ago!

Honesty is honesty. Why can't you say exactly what you think? I remember being a Christian camp once and being pushed to say I was saved. I have my own beliefs and I am perfectly fine with what I think too.

I won't apologise for not being in touch with you for many years, you may not even have noticed - Punctuation Typo? Full stop missing?
It would be nice to get a sign, even a little sign, to say you are aware of what is happening to the human race and to our beautiful blue planet. - Punctuation Typo? Commas missing?
Now that's out of the way, what a lovely, thought provoking piece. You challenge your readers to think beyond your words. After reading this, I thought about the world around me as an individual. There is so much suffering and cruelty. I think you may well hit a raw nerve with many who read this. And, the ability of a writer to rise emotions in their readers is one who demonstrates good style and craft.
I enjoyed reading this. Well done, and good luck with the competition.

There are a lot of grammatical errors in this letter that need editing. Try to work on it before the vote. I would delve into them , but there are simply too many. I'm giving you five stars because your passion in this poem is very evident and the poem asks an age old question. I don't have all of the answers, but I can make a couple of heartfelt points. First, Jesus clearly said that he came to earth not to do his will, but that of the father. It is a fact that Jesus healed many people during his ministry, these healings and even ressurections were witnessed by many. If Jesus was truly doing God's will then it's God's will for people to both live and be healthy. The choice is ours, the scriptures clearly say that if we walk in opposition to God then he will walk in opposition to us. Leviticus 26: 23-24. Why God allows bad things to happen isn't because it's his will it's because of our rebellion. The bible also clearly says " woe to the earth for the evil one (Satan) has been cast down to you, having great anger. Jesus referred to Satan as the God of this system of things. What else other than pain, suffering, death, hate, and crime should we expect from Satan. It's our choice to embrace this system of things or to constantly pray the Lord's prayer. "Let your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." If God's will were being done on earth then we wouldn't have to pray for it to come. God bless you, Mary, (which is a beautiful biblical name) and have a glorious day. Best of luck in the contest.
