Outstanding!!!! Of course I believe that the Dryads awaken with the moon but I am a creature of the night. How I Truly loved this. It is difficult to describe for words don't seem to give it justice.

This is truly an amazing photograph, and the poem it inspired is every bit as amazing. I loved it and I gladly award six stars.

I could see the figure clearly in the tree trunk, but it immediately made me think of the crucified Christ hanging on the cross. Either way, it is a most intriguing photo.

Very clever indeed.
A perfect image for the style you have chosen.
The poetic style is well described in the author notes and
matches well with the image. It is amazing watch we often miss in
our daily rush.

I love love love the picture. It looks like a part of Illahee Park here in Bremerton, WA.
I go to this park very often and there is this place from where I can see the sky and the water on the lake through those branches stretched out like an embrace to life.
Great work and great memory.

This is exceptional poetry, Tom - and I do see the female form in the trunk of the tree. A superb photo, and a great poem. I truly loved this write and the Modified Awdl Gwyd, because of its subtle internal rhyme schemes and flows worked perfectly together with your picture.

That's really lovely, Tom, when my late husband and I bought our last home together, we planted a weeping willow in our front garden, it was so wet there the tree soon grew to quite a size. I loved it. You are right, it does seem to dance as the breeze, it is such a graceful tree and is so alive. I can see the crossed legs of your lady willow, and her bent arm. You have a great imagination, my friend. I enjoyed your poem and your authors notes. :) ~Sandra x

Hi, Treischel,
" Dryad's Dance" is a magnificent poem with a Greek mythology theme which is always fertile ground for the poet's plow. You seeded the ground with the double echo form in iambic tetrameter which flows well and a well executed unconventional rhyme scheme and had a rich harvest of figurative language which included an "Animated Still" personifying a tree trunk as Euridice an Oak Nymph a daughter of the god Apollo. There are many colorful metaphors and other fresh figures of speech too many to enumerate. The rhyme is simple and brings out the meaning of the poem rather than obscuring it.
Your friend and colleague,
Preston

Beautiful words set in a beautiful place. Picture is perfect. You are correct about the willow, called 'weeping willow,' where I'm from. They do appear to be dancing as their many leaves move about in the slightest breeze. Enjoyed the read.
