A very well-written 5-7-5 poem. It is a fact that memories of our loved ones are never forgotten. We don't think of them all the time but we are often remind about them in things that they have done.

My friends mom died earlier this year and she had so many plants she didn't know what to do with all of them. She asked me if I wanted one, I can't garden to save my life but it's still alive, somehow, it's still alive. It's probably her mom working her magic on it. Great job and good luck in the contest

My mother left plants for me also. They are a great memory and clippings can make them live for ever. Thank for the review and really "getting" my little poem.

Really beautiful five seven five. Well executed with a beautiful, bittersweet message. Excellent choice of artwork. I see nothing that needs correcting. Thank you for sharing.

The poem along with your choice of artwork and background color complete the challenge for this contest well. the words you chose were good strong words that flowed together and gave the poem strength.

Hello, my fellow poet, this is the second 5-7-5 so far that I really like. It speaks to the reader. The only thing (now this is only my opinion) is the last line where to me does not need a capital on the word "her". I really just love your poetry. Good luck. VaV-VOOM! (Winner to me!)

I know you don't know who I am, but I always appreciate another poets opinion. I write a great deal of haiku and short Asian forms, and I didn't want this one to come across as a haiku therefore the cap in the last line. Also, I felt it was a separate sentiment than the above two line. None the less, I love the review and am glad you liked it enough to give it an excellent. Thank you so much.

Your welcome, I'm trying to learn as much as can on haiku and senryu. I voted for your poem, in my opinion, it is a beauty. VaV-VOOM! :)

The roses are very beautiful, and make a good match for this poem. I look at the contrasts each rose represents; happiness, love, apology, reflection and also death. Each an integral part of their existence.

Yes, you are right about funerals. But I intention was to bring out all the "good" a person leaves behind, thank you for this lovely review.

Nice 5-7-5 Poem contest entry! Well-written and very inspirational. It is good to believe in life after death, otherwise, what is the alternative? An infinity of blackness and nothingness? Oooooh, I don't particularly like that! Great artwork to accompany your poem. Good luck in the contest. God bless and hugs, Susanne

This 5-7-5, Ann's Roses, is a testimony to someone who has nurtured beauty and friendship in life. Roses, in this poem, stand as a living reminder that continues to evoke good memories.

Very good thinking in this. This is a poem with a light heart and a sense of redemption and regeneration, immortality through transformation. I like the implied idea that the church bells are wrong... YET.... they are wrong. This should be celebrating, not mourning
