Before reading your authors notes, I wondered if Pete was the horse in the photo on your profile. I loved this story. My daughter took riding lessons on a little Mustang a few years back. He was a tiny thing but big on intuitiveness and so smart. The tricks his owner taught him were remarkable. Horses are such beautiful animals and so capable of reading people, especially women, whom they tend to bond greatly with. Lovely read. The part about Pete showing up all the haughty tauty horses and their riders...loved it!

Thank you. The horse in my profile picture is Carmen. Carmen was a real beauty, but Pete had her beat for personality.
