Marilyn,
I enjoyed your contest entry. I just now saw that you wrote it. I can see the point of blind entries, but I hate to miss those of my friends. You did a great job with a fun prompt. I like the color scheme. Your message is so true. Good job with the alliteration.

I do not have a post for the picture challenge prompt for Monday. I am not going to write one either. My last few for the challenge have received few reviews. [I know I don't write only for reviews, but I would like some]. Two in the last 3 or 4 times that I wrote were some of my best work IMO. But they were not well received. I am not paying 7 pumps for those for a while anyway plus the certificate. Sorry you got to receive my rant. I am entering fewer contest, too with the new split of $$$.

I hope you are ok. It is so hot here that I have to stay inside much of the time. Janny

Hi Janny. Thank you very much for your review. I always appreciate your work and your input. There are a few contests that I've entered lately, especially since FanStory spreads out the wins a little bit with 2nd and 3rd. I think that is a fairer policy. Will PM you. Hugs, Marilyn

If one of these critters flew near me, I wouldn't be smiling at it. "Big Brother is watching" (from 1984 by George Orwell) is certainly coming true. I like your 5-7-5 anyway.

A very well-written 5-7-5 poem. Drones seem to become part of our daily lives.. When we don't have anything to hide we should not fear the power of technology.

Hi Sandra. Thank you for your review. Drones may have a worthy place in technology, but they can be intrusive--especially when the retail stores finally get permission to make deliveries to homes. Can you imaging them buzzing around like flies? For now that's on "hold." Camera drones takes photos. The one in the poem is a camera drone.

Big brother is everywhere these days...just like Orwell predicted back then. This is a very good 5-7-5 Poem contest entry. Makes the reader realize how little privacy we really have anymore. Good luck in the contest. God bless and hugs, Susanne

This 5-7-5, drones clutter the sky, hits the hard 'c' with authority as you remind us of the growing use of drones in our society. If Amazon had it their way they would blacken the horizon with drones delivering packages. Interesting.

Hi Bill. Thank you for your review. The one depicted is a camera drone. So they can take our photo, too.

Yep, Big Brother has eyes in the sky in more ways than one now for sure, and this clever little poem tells us all about it. Once again I'm thinking along the same lines - my 5-7-5 WAS going to be about drones - now I'll have to change it or not enter this contest! :)) (Best of luck.)

Hi Dawn. Thank you for your review. No need for selfies. The drone will take our photo.

Your poem is cute but scary too! I do not like the idea of some machine flying by and snapping my picture. You completed the challenge of the contest well. Good luck in the contest.

I rather like this entry in this 5/7/5 poetry contest, definitely set in this modern era of 1984 revisited, the government appears to have all sorts of access to our way of life, political leanings etc. excellent entry, very relevant, a qualifier, well done, blessings, good luck, Roy

I saw some of these flying cameras at Best Buy the other day. At an average of $1,200.00 dollars for one with decent pixel capabilities, I could rent an honest to goodness helicopter three or four times, for about a half an hour each time, and take some awesome photographs.
Great lil' 5-7-5.
Best of luck to you in the contest.
~Dean :)
