God is love, even to those who think they know God's limits.
God is love, even to those who act like Pharisees.
God is love, even to those who claim they are the ones who know what
is true and not true.
Deniz, I respect your right to your beliefs and unbeliefs. I do not,
however, embrace your understanding of what it means to be a
Christian or to become a Christian. Your way is a way but to suggest
that it is the only way is unfortunate because it shuts out the dialogue.
You are a wonderful man of faith. And your piece was well written and
even though I think you are shutting yourself off from many who also
embrace the Christian faith and other faiths as well, I still think you are
deserving of a five. -Bill

Your kindness is appreciated but you miss the need to be faithful to what Jesus Christ Himself said about Himself: I am the way, the truth and the life." The only people excluded from God's love and Heaven itself are those who refuse to be included among the saved of earth. These are those who have acknowledged their sin and trusted Christ and His atoning death, burial and bodily resurrection. Christ's invitation embraces all but it requires personal faith in Him and His Gospel in order to fully experience His eternal love. God bless you as you ponder His words, faithfully recorded in the scriptures. Dennis John 5:24New King James Version (NKJV)

Life and Judgment Are Through the Son

24 ?Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.

Hi Dennis, This is another well written blog that reads beautifully, I do not say I agree with everything you say however, in the light of what has happened in Orlando I just cannot my friend.

Thank you Eric. The events in Orlando are shocking and saddening to us all. To me they are further proof something is wrong with the human heart. The scriptures confirm that evil comes from a man's heart and a new heart, given as a result of living faith in Jesus Christ, is the only lasting remedy. I thank you for being my friend while I would ask you to read the Gospel of John for yourself and hear what Christ said about these things for yourself. God bless you, Dennis John 5:24New King James Version (NKJV)

I enjoyed reading "When God is Not Enough". Are these you own beliefs
or did you copy them from scripture? Regardless, I see in these ten
paragraphs a lot of truth! I am trying to plant God seed also, in my
poetry. If enough of us plant seeds, surely our faith will bloom?
Blessings! Ann

Hi Ann, these 10 observations come from many years of study of the Bible, listening to preachers/teachers and reading a number of different commentaries. I believe them to be true and at least part of my motivation in writing them is to counteract the common belief that since God is love every thing is permissible, there is no judgment and Christ died, not for sins, but for a number of different reasons. I applaud trying to plant God's seed if you refer to what Christ said about it: "the seed is the Word of God." God bless you, Dennis John 5:24New King James Version (NKJV)

I have always been blessed by writers who carry the torch of spreading the good news and the gospel of Jesus in their work. Thank you for expounding on the definitions of God;s love in ten significant ways. God bless you more. All the best.

Thank you for your kind words. I assure you, not everyone applauded this work. I knew some would not approve but I wrote it to
counteract the common belief that since God is love, every thing is permissible, there is no judgment and Christ died, not for sins, but for a number of different reasons. The bible is crystal clear, we have all sinned but Jesus died for all sin. It is necessary to believe in Christ and His Gospel to be saved from Hell. Some deny this but the Bible repeats it many times in many ways. John 5:24New King James Version (NKJV)

There will always be love from God to those who trust Christ. Others will be excluded who die without faith in Christ's work on the cross to pay for sin. God bless you, Dennis John 5:24New King James Version (NKJV)

G'day Dennis. I hear you loud and clear my Brother In Christ. I will never understand the way some people think.

For example....

A man goes to the pub each night and gets drunk! He loses his job because he has too many days off. His relationship with his family starts to suffer and domestic violence ensues. His wife takes the children and leaves him (so she should.) Then he turns around and says things like..."Why does God hate me and not hear me?" He's never bothered to invite God into his heart, whether times are good or bad, but he still blames God, whom he doesn't even recognize until things are at their worst!

I love God and He is the reason I am alive and have all that I have. There is no other reason, but Our Lord!

Hope that gibberish makes sense Sir.

Well done.

Cheers Fez

I always respect what you say, dear Fez. But let me draw to your attention the need to trust Christ personally for salvation. I am glad you love and trust God but wonder if faith in His Son Jesus is yours too? No disrespect is meant by this question, but it is so important, I risk your displeasure to bring it to the forefront. Have you read this from Jesus Word and is it your claim to Heaven? I hear you Sir. I have read and understood the Bible 38 times. In fact, when I learned to read and write at 18yo it was the first book I read and I haven't stopped since. Jesus is my Hero and I owe Him and Our Father my life.

Certainly no animosity felt, nor hurt my brother.

Hi Dennis, I agree with all of them. I like the concept of combining those two qualities into the phrase God is Holy love.

Thank you for such a fine article on the love of God.
I appreciate that God's love does not mean he loves sin.
He loves the sinner and desires all to repent and obey his will
but he hates the sin. God love has demanded that he, who can not
lie, tell all mankind just what sin is. He hates sin and it makes him
sick to his stomach. It is up to us to know what sin is. Manipulating and endorsing the popular sinful trends of the day will not get them by God, who is also a just God. We will all be judged by his book, his word. Those who do not read the book authored by God will have no excuse when they say they 'just didn't know.' God no longer winks at ignorance. He is patient and loving and does not want any to be lost forever, but some day, he will call those home who love him back. The others will be in eternal punishment for turning their back on the one who created them.
Well done,
:-) Carolyn

Thank you and I couldn't say your comments any better. I wrote this, fully understanding some would be offended (some were) but really to counteract the common belief that God's being love endorses and excuses all manner of sin when in fact the remedy for sin is found In the blood of Jesus. His blood washes away our sin and allows the Spirit to come in to create a new inner person in us and then dwell in that sinless creature forever. This same Spirit is transforming us into Christ likeness through His word and His people. God bless you and thanks again, Dennis John 5:24New King James Version (NKJV)
