wow
powerful
very deep....goes from your gut to your soul in a micro minute.
reading this felt like I was the one that wrote it. I could mesh myself into its depth and understand it completely, wholeheartedly, undeniably.
YES....every word, every in between word written in between the lines that no one else could read except me.
This is one of a kind
very emotion filled
very life lived....does that even make any sense???
Every word takes me where you are were; are; are going.....
I cannot even begin to explain in words anymore what this writing of yours says to me at the top of its voice capability which is silence but only vocal if I read it out loud....yet it is almost yelling ....not yelling because of anger, but just because it is very authoritative and meaningful filled.
DOUBLE WOW
I better stop now before I do not even make sense to myself any longer.
THANKS FOR SHARING.
You deserve each and every one of these sparkly brilliant shiny stars.

BRAVO CLAP CLAP

To read this in one of my sad days is tremendously touching, and healing, in a way. My fave line " The good and evil in men will no longer concern me..." I like to dance as well! Blessings to you for writing this, it was for me, isn't?

I am finally getting around to reviewing all the wonderful Walt Whitman free verse offerings to the Poetry Potlatch last Saturday.

I very much enjoy the framework you wrote your poem around, some days, other days, most days and last day. That runs through the lot and it's an amazing piece of poetry, Judy.

Great write at the free write. :)) My sentiments exactly -- Live life to the full.

thank you so much Gloria. I so appreciate your review. When I write free verse I just write as fast as I can then go back and listen to what I write. I have learned so much about my self by doing that. I am learning so much on this site. Thank you so much . Your were the first person to ever greet

That's what I do too Judy. Is get in the "zone" and write what comes from there freely and quickly because that is where the real magic of poetry is.

Wow, Judy, I think you could be writing this amazingly profound poem for every one of us - I KNOW you wrote it for me! You cover the whole spectrum of human emotion in three incredible stanzas. I love how you introduce each one too! Marvelous poem!!!***********************************************!!!

Thank you so much. When I free write I just go as fast as I can and don't worry about what it says. then I go back and discover what I wrote and edit it. I sometimes learn so much about myself in those moments.

How brilliantly minded penning. This touched my soul at the deepest level indeed. You are such a great Poetess friend. You teach with the words you write versus telling or implying its meaning. A great gift you share.

How wonderful you have written about your days and the moods they gave you
I like your most encouraging day when you wrote-

Dreams will tumble out of me
Scriptures will pour out of my mouth with ease
I will choose the path of righteousness

Thank you for sharing

thank you gert. Life has been a wonderful roller coaster ride and i have never lost my faith that the world is a good place. I am the cockeyed optimist in South Pacific. But I do face reality and sadness when it enters my house. Thank you so much for the review.

What a thoughtful and reflective work on life in general, faith, and the ability to acknowledge the factors that affect us as we travel the journey. My only suggested would be in toning down the start white against the deep black, which was a little jarring for me to read. Perhaps a change in the font style would tone it down. It seemed to be pulsating for me, but also, I am overdue for a visit to the eye doctor!

I was thinking the exact same thing when I was reading it. That white does vibrate. Thank you so much for the kind words. I truly enjoy free verse.

Jusylee,

Wow, you've outdone yourself here. While reading this extraordinary piece.
I kept thinking how much I could relate to your thoughts within this. You've
expressed yourself well and yet in a very unique way with vivid imagery
as well as spirituality.

Because you did not offer author notes, I did not realize this poem was in
response to the potlatch challenge. When I went back to read it again...I
saw the "sounds" well represented within this with..."outrageous thunder" "music" and "trees blowing"

This is a compelling piece and seems to represent Walt's style quite well...But, I
don't know much. "On most days" is kind of sad...but, I know what you mean...it
represents the reality of everyday life.

Very gorgeous work,
Linda

thank you so much. When I write free verse I just write as fast as I can and let thoughts tumble then I go back and edit it. I have learned so many things about myself when I do that. Sometimes it tells me my weaknesses and gives me a slam to get back into life with every thing I can imagine. You made my day. Judy

Wow, what a beautifully written poem. I love the way you show our duel natures, and describes them so perfectly.
Even the "most days" where you show the balanced days,
But, the best part of all is the last portion on "the last day". It is artfully written, and composed.
Well, well done!
