I enjoy creating art out of found materials and am fascinated by what sculptors assemble. I did not know about Just2Write's brainchild, and I enjoyed your rhyme scheme and memorable phrases "heal environment's abuse" plus "artwork mimics life". You give new meaning to "trash... treasure". A beautiful and meaningful poem. All plain rubbish things are not necessarily only meant for the garbage pile in the eyes and hands of a talented creative artist. These maestros infuse life where we see zero but garbage. Very well done, Tom.

Your message about trash & the loss [almost] of beavers is important. Art does have a way of imitating life.

I think it's amazing how an artist can --literally -- look at garbage and see the components of art. Thanks for sharing this, Tom. I says so much. Beauty is everywhere isn't it? It's just our eyes that are out of focus.

very good, here in our neighbor hood we have a man who builds all kind of stuff like this, gets big bucks on his work. turning trash to art, to bad we can't do that with people.

Another form that I must try sometime. Your example of it shows that it has potential to be a wonderful vehicle for poetic expression. I always admire the way you are able to maintain an almost conversational tone in your poetry which fleshes out the bones of the structure, much as the artist here has done with the sculpture. This is a rather amazing piece of artistry, Tom. I loved the way it all seems to fit together and yet is so far from monotonous, with its progressive changes in the stanzas. I have never seen one before but I very much like it. Your topic was an excellent choice too, and a subject deserving of such a creative poem. Great work.
