I particularly like how you showed the lengthy anticipation and yearning for this baby girl:
"Niccole had waited, oh so long,
for lullabies and infant song,
to grace the hallways where they dwell,
and there was Belle."
Also, the description of the mother's love is amazing!
Yes, it's like that!
"Her mom will worship every curl.
Her heart will swell,
as skeins of mother love unfurl
unparallel
to anything she's ever known,"
This is such a sweet welcome poem to this sweet little girl!

Congratulations on your new great-granddaughter. I just LOVE her middle name - hee-hee. How wonderful for you and your family to have a new addition. She looks lovely. This is a nice Octogram - Which is a form that I do not do well with. Like the Minute Poem, I always struggle with the short lines. You seem to have no problem.

Thank you foxangie. In fact, my wife and I gave her that blanket at the baby shower in September,. The couple didn't want to know if it was a boy or girl, so we had to something neutral.

A beautiful new little girl deserves a new Octogram and her great-grandfather produced the perfect one. I loved every bit of this. It flows so nicely, and has great cadence and rhymes. You found just the right words to rhyme with her name and it was especially cool that you made that the repeating line. And there was Belle, a perfect introduction to the world. Keep a scrapbook of all the poems you write for her. I'm sure there will be many more. This is a great beginning,
