So true. The actual text of Genesis is mistranslated in the King James English Bible. Like English, Hebrew and the Aramaic of the Torah (Old Testament), as well as Greek, have articles (such as "the"), but Latin does not. Translation went from Aramaic to Greek to Latin before King James rendered it in English. Thus, the English mistakenly says "the first day" implying the earliest 24-hour period. But that is NOT what the Aramaic in the Torah says. The words there are "yom" (rhymes with "home") "echad" -- not "ha-yom echad" (as "ha" meaning "the" is absent), and "echad" is NOT an ordinal number ("first") but a cardinal number (meaning "one" or even "unique"). Further, "yom" CAN mean a 24-hour day, but in this context the correct translation is "one era" (of non-specific duration) or "a unique epoch" -- God's time being not as minuscule as ours. In short, properly translated, the Creation described in Genesis does not conflict with the modern scientific view of the age of the known universe. Science and Creationism are NOT in conflict and never were, in the eyes of God. Excellent Naani.

Actually, there are many more differences between the scientific view of origins and the creationist view than just how many "days" it took, so the sophistry some employ in this regard doesn't really address the issue. Most religious people these days opt for what they call "intelligent design" - although a quick look around would tell us if it's designed, there's nothing too intelligent about it ;-)
That aside, you appear to have met the requirements of the form well, and whilst some wouldn't agree with the idea expressed, I believe it is expressed clearly and with good effect.

Technically, black and white is considered a two-color presentation. The stipulation for the contest is just to keep it as simple as possible by using the basic editor, no picture, etc... the contest creator just means, essentially, no bells and whistles. That keeps everyone on an even playing field. Thank you for taking the time to read and review.
