Nice little poem. Optical phenomenon is a nice expression, it sums up nicely what a rainbow is I suppose. This poem is short and to the point, but it works. Well done

The only improvement I can recommend is to delete the comma after awe.

Wow, this is an old poem! How it could it not have two reviews yet? This meets the syllable requirements, and I think you've got a good start here. However, I think there is also room for improvement.
The first line does not need a comma after "awe", and the break after "an" seems a bit jarring. I also think that the word "colorful" is pretty obvious and doesn't really add much to the description of the rainbow; a more interesting descriptor here would really make the poem shine. Finally, why the quotes around "optical phenomenon"? A rainbow is literally that?
So overall, a good beginning. Good luck!

Awe it is, if only more people would look for it and not on their I phones like zombies walking around. Nature offers so many awesome wonders if only people would look. One of the better 5-7-5 poems I have reviewed.

Optical phenomenon. I never thought of a rainbow in that way. I know this is a 5-7-5, but even this short and sweet work makes me want to go out and chase a few rainbows.
