A lively and vivid poem for this weekend's Easter celebration and I felt the action taking place within this poem reaching a crescendo until the final line, a fine faithful post, loved the dialogue to give this poem great impact, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

A fitting post, written in the beloved's honour, we cannot repay Him, the closest we can come is shout His glorious death and ascension, be a willing slave to the cross, His resurrection is proof positive, we did not see it with our eyes, but saw it in our souls, thanks be to God, we know who Jesus is. Great host of scriptures, beautifully written blessings Roy

The lessons and stories of the bible have been told many times - but this poetic did not feel like an old re-telling. It was fresh and vibrant and new - and the Queriet from really helped to bring the poem to life.
Excellent work here, Tom. Truly. I know it is not part of a good review, but please change the background or the font. This is so hard to read. Rose.

Sorry, Tom, I would love to give this a 6 but have used them already. I just don't have enough some weeks. This poem is amazing, your words are the making of it, I loved the questions and answers. But, regardless of style, I would have loved this one in any form, the words are the best I've read in a long while. I loved how Jesus rescues them from hell, I love how he defeats Satan, I just loved the whole poem, bravo my friend!! xsx Sandra

Yes! What a victory indeed! I enjoyed this writing. It is quite a retell and I love it. The victory...all power...all glory...are and is in HIS hands. It was a little challenging to read because of the color and font, but it could be my screen. Overall it was wonderful!

I now feel totally and unequivocally justified in having created this form of poetry. Thi is simple magnificent. I felt like member of the mdedieval audience as the great carts processed through the city of Coventry. Each cart was sponsored by a trade guild in the city and on Corpus Christi day the whole bible story would be played out from the Garden of Eden to the road to Emmeaus. Each play was performed several times as the carts performed and moved through a series of performance locations.

I say Coventry because the "Ludus Coventriae" has a fine example of the play entitled "The Harrowing of Hell", in which I have actually played a role - 3rd devil - or some such character. But there are several british and continental cities where playscrips exist and occasionally renactments of th original performances are played.

this poem captures all the cadences of the play itself. No hesitation in a 6 for this, though I know it will not be to everyone's taste.

Thank you very much Pantygynt, for such high praise, and for the stars. Your put some nice historical perspective on it with the Coventry information.

Thank you for a wonderful poem and all the scripture to support your idea. An interesting account of the three days before Christ arose. "Up from the grave He arose." Praise the Lord. I certainly enjoyed reading this account. Thank you for sharing . Keep up the good work.

Wow! This is such a vivid writing it was like being at the theatre. I know that doesn't make sense. I mean it was sitting by and actually watching what was happening.

Very good portrayal of good overcoming evil. At first, I was a little daunted by the red background, but as it turned out, it really set the scene. Good for you!

I oughta give you a half star because my feeble old eyes could scarcely read against that red background. And this is the kind of stuff I like,
the Harrowing, which is in several apocryphal books.Excellent post.

You made good use of pantygynt's new query form and the magical artwork. I admired your rhymes and "tree" metaphor, plus alliteration of "f's" in the second half. Thank you for the notes on your scriptural references as well. Cheers- Joan
