Hello Idamarty, In five lines, your poem speaks volumes. Your poem is heartfelt and beautifully penned. I especially liked:
Brave are those who fought the war
Cherished hearts that beat no more
Death became our saving grace
(The essence of this poem)
Ida, an excellent ABC poem. When writing ABC poems, like Acrostics, it can be difficult to have each line flow with ease. Your poem flows in a most silky way - very good.
Wonderful artwork choice. A poem of gratitude. As this is a contest entry, I wish you good luck.

The description of war dead always goes against my grain. I find nothing grand or heroic about it, just deep sadness that it occurs every day and has every day for millennium after millennium.
