I get where this is coming from, mirror with reflections and having two sides of the people. People looking out, as you are looking in, maybe, This reminds more of something I read earlier today, that took me to yet another place. The previous that I read reminded me much of my Mother. This too reminds me of my Mother, but for a different sort of reason. My Mother had a heart attack and then two strokes there after. She was left with a feeding tube, unable to walk, talk or eat or drink. (how very sad that was) However, she was trapped within her own body. What you have written reminds me of that as well. Always looking out seeing, hearing, smelling, feeling and touching, but cannot speak or communicate. Thus, the old adage, " The eyes are the mirror to the soul" . Great visual too! Sherman541

Ok, it took me awhile to get this. I reread the ending and then it hit me that this was about what happens in the mirror when we can't see. Is it an alternative world in which our doubles live? Intriguing thought. Thank you for sharing.
