I love the title, "California Dreaming". I can hear the Momma's and Poppa's singing it :)
Your etheree has a lovely theme. I'm so glad you got the rain you so desperately needed.
Great syllable count. I like that you centered the poem on the page to make a nice shape.
Best wishes in the contest!

Lovely etheree Nancy. Anticipating is the perfect word to describe that wait after a long drought for a little bit of water.
Great imagery evoking a strong emotion. I wish you all the best in the contest. This is a good one.

Hello, Nancy :)
I like your Etheree Poem, it's beautiful. And it is so befitting to California's drought. The presentation is lovely and it goes well with the poem. Good job!

Hi, Nancy. This is very well written. However, there are places in the world that would disagree with you like Missouri and California where they currently have flooding as you know. But, be that as it may, this is a wonderful poem on rain. Blessings, Bob

Thanks for reading Bob, and for your thoughtful review.. I wrote it from my perspective here in LA
Where we have had quite a dry spell and looked forward to the rain. Nancy

Yes, yes, yes...here at last. I live in California and when I feel tired of the constant rain, I remember the drought and those horrid wild fires. I only hope this doesn't lead to landslides and deaths. Your poem paints a picture of the relief in California.

Yes, we have waited a long time for the rain. I'm afraid that one storm may not be enough to relieve the drought.
It's sprinkling right now though and may rain on Saturday. So unpredictable though. Thanks for your great review. Nancy

If we tried to drink what was coming down out of our skies here where I live, Nancy, we'd have to thaw it first.
It's -5 below zero here, and I don't even want to get into what it is with the wind chill factor being what it is in the 15 mph northeasterly winds.
This is a beautifully constructed and well composed Ethree poem you managed to create for the contest,
Nancy. Great work. Best of luck in the booth.
