An excellent poem Dawn of Tomorrow. Very well written with a smooth flow of words. You posted this before I joined FS. Glad I stopped by and read it. All the best.

This is in a state and I can't remember where it was remade as a reminder to what happened. I think maybe Kentucky. Wow, you have a genuinely truthful and lovely piece that can carry the reader into historical events if they allow it to do such... Nice...

Beautifully awesome! I love it because it is God's truth to a sinful world the Christ defeated sin and death for even the weakest believer. "He could have called ten thousand angels, but He died alone, on Calvary's hill." Thank you dear sister in Christ for this wonderful ode to our Savior.

Red can mean bloodshed, but also warm-heartedness and deep love. Love means sacrifice, and only those who give of themselves are capable of it. Our Lord gives us the best example.

Wow, Dawn Of Tomorrow!
This is such an outstanding poem. The rhyming, cadence, and overall flow are spectacular, and the message conveyed is one of hope, salvation, sacrifice, and Agape love.
Your a,a,b,b rhyme scheme worked extremely well for this particular piece. It kept the read at fast-paced, very smooth and even tempo.
I wish I had something constructive to offer you in the way of improvements. The fact of the matter is, I can find nothing I'd change in the slightest.
Excellent work!

Well if you could find nothing to fix I did a good job. I rarely use that rhyme scheme, kind of surprised myself with that one. Thanks so much for taking the time to read and review. Really appreciated.

You are more than welcome. The pleasure was entirely mine.

Hello Dawn of Tomorrow
Yes your spiritual not only makes one ponder it makes a person reflect the real reason why Jesus died for us
to forgive our sins.
What I like is how you keep your rhyming pattern and so cleverly continued your thought EX.
Young David placed it on that hill,
to wait the day our sin would kill
our Savior. Now, His blood would seep

Thank you for understanding the enjambment. A lot of people can get confused reading that, they don't always follow the meter, so I'm so glad you actually mentioned that. Thanks for the great review.

You are welcome Dawn

Comment from Gloria ....
Wonderfully elegant and eloquent poem, Dawn. So much of the spiritual poetry is trite and repetitive so it's most pleasant to read one written with depth which gives the reader something to consider.
I absolutely love the phrase, His love runs red. That's superior writing.
Great job and thank you for sharing.

You've heard that song by Chris Tomlin where he says 'Your love ran red, your love ran red'. That is what really got me going on this. Thanks so much for the lovely review.

Hi, Dawn. I am so glad to see you posting so much of late. You are such a wonderful poetess.
I love this inspiring poem, especially these lines:
"our Savior. Now, His blood would seep
into that ground where death would keep
the "Seed of Satan" , some would say.
When Christ was killed he held at bay."
Bravo! Bob
