What an interesting poem format this is, Tom, and It seems perfect to portray your imagery and words. I loved visualizing the combination of snow shadows and the sun-sparkled snow patterns. A beautiful sight.
Smiles,
Karyn :-)

Thanks for introducing me to a form Pantygynt created--even its name is intriguing. Your rhymes and repeats emphasize the contrast you painted between a cloudy and sunny day. And I enjoyed your "sheets" simile and personification of the "trees". Well done! -Joan

It is a pleasure to read an up poem about the winter. So many poets use it as a metaphor for sadness or a sad precursor to better times.

I do have a problem with "undulating snow" because my visual demands the light to undulate. Your choice however, and it does read well.

Thank you Pyrrho. So, how do you feel about rolling hills? Lol.

You nailed me, Treischel ... Good one. Are they cliches or metaphors? or both?

I really like this and I really appreciate your desription of the form you used. I live in Florida now, but grew up in Michigan, I have seen the scenes you depict and i really miss them sometimes. I think this was really well done. Good for you. Great photo too by the way

A blast from the past or a rave from the grave. Cat told me this was around an hour or two ago. I am hono urged you should think to use it again. I do like the idea of linking ingredients the stanzas through the repeated, non rhyminG third line. Let us both claim mutual authorship of this form.

I did that on a tablet with auto correct. Almost complete gobbledegook you must have thought I was drunk. Lol
reply by the author on 08-Jan-2016
Nope, I make enough mistakes of my own, between autocorrect and fat fingers. Lol.

I had to lol up the word undulating, and that's what I love a poem which stretches my limits and extends my vocabulary. I never thought of snow shaping in waves but the picture has captured this perfectly.
I also like to learn about new styles and found it great that you took a style from someone here but added your own touch too.

Winter must be upon us as everyone is writing about it lol. I like this poem. It describes a blustery day and makes me think of Winnie the Pooh. I like the picture as well. Thank you for sharing.

Snow for me is always wonderful and magical. We don't see snow very often here, for us it is a wonderland when we are fortunate to have some snow.
