What struck me most about this poem is that the rhyme scheme is transparent. By that I mean, I had to read a second time to realize it was even there. Perhaps because I've been reading free verse today, but normally, the rhyme scheme is the first thing to jump off the page at me. In this it lay back, blending in, and letting your message shine through the words.
