Refreshing... ecstatic, beautiful words with beautiful scenery makes this an unique early X-Mas gift to the avatar world of the writers and poets amidst the grey mist... love the video, a tangerine delight... oh, what a day. Simplicity, but is very true for the romantic, which hopefully is withing our dire hearts waiting to be picked like a fruit, Where has the romance gone? A material world calls for the lover with money, not a heart of gold, if looks could only kill. Nice entry. BOO.

Hi Mikey! It is always so lovely to read a Free Verse poem that actually uses subtle poetic techniques and isn't just prose spread over lines. You know how to do that well and I admire it when I read it! intention/invention, words spread with careful placement "just so". My guess would be Cat as your writing in this piece is a reflection of hers. It's fun to read a piece that at least gives a hint and suggests there is really just ONE Secret Crush. Lovely. Hi Mikey! It is always so lovely to read a Free Verse poem that actually uses subtle poetic techniques and isn't just prose spread over lines. You know how to do that well and I admire it when I read it! intention/invention, words spread with careful placement "just so". I think the danger of "falling" for someone on the internet (which would include here) is that you can be smitten by your idea of who that person is, rather than the actual person. And it doesn't have to involve the deliberate deception of which you speak in your poem. Well, that's what I've heard, anyway ;-)

This is really great, and yes, as you point out, making emotional connections is possibly even more likely on a site like this because we tend to open ourselves up and express our feelings a lot.
I must point out that I consider it totally unfair of you to woo the ladies with that voice. Those of us who sound like Kermit the Frog could, quite legitimately, cry foul.

They talked me into it. Hell, it was more traumatic posting the singing then it was any writing I've ever posted anywhere!

It is true that only in innocence are we able to quiet our hearts thus enabling us to sense the fundamental division, the woman, the man, the dark, the night, the love, the indifference--the joy of union.
Then we shiver in the dark and find the surprise of sudden warmth and it is all the more stunning because it was unexpected.
Your music attachment is also excellent, and wonderful glimpse into the mind of a gentle man.

The construction of the poem somehow follows the iffy way men speak. We measure words, think them through to their worse and best case scenario so we look good at all times. I'm listening to your song and with some production values it's not too bad.
