Hello respa,

Your story has the feel and elements of a Victorian 'gothic' romance poem.

Poor Ebony Gown Lady. :)

Good for Dean, encouraging you. Nicely done!

Hope you've had a good week.

Sonali :)

And wander forests when the moon (was) pale

Thank you for the excellent rating and sharing your thoughts on this poem. I appreciate you pointing out things you liked. I didn't really think of doing anything a little darker, but since Dean has his book, I wanted to participate. You have a good week, too. I look forward to the next installment of Maria.

Wow, a surprise all the way from Japan! Thanks so much for the excellent rating and observations. I have never done anything darker before, but wanted to be a part of Dean's book. I am glad you liked the pictures, rhymes, and story. Hope you are having a good trip.

Thanks for the good wishes. Our trip really became worth it today, with fantastic autumn colors. We always hear about cherry blossom time, but this seemed more special with the range of colors and the magnitude of the forests. More hugs- Joan

You are welcome. Can't wait to see some of the pictures and poems. We don't stop to think about changing seasons in other places.

Thank you for your encouragement about my poem-cards. Time is short and the internet if iffy--so, I plan to post some when I return Sunday. Hugs- Joan

A beautifully presented, dark mysterious lady - the stuff of legends. The same can be said of your poetry. I must admit that this is a form of writing that I both like and admire. Thank you.

Wonderful poem about a woman who wanders the night. Yours is in black, but when I was a child we always said it was the lady in blue. We of course thought it was a ghost. I liked this very much. Made my imagination go a bit wild. All best. Ulla

Thank you so much for the excellent rating and sharing your thoughts. I am glad you liked the poem and I appreciate you sharing your own "lady in blue." I am glad it triggered your imagination. Maybe you could write your own poem about the "lady in blue."

People have sworn that they still see her roam,
on nights when a lone wolf bays at the moon. Simply brilliant this line, sent chills up my spine. I love this genre and revel in its madness. Well crafted piece my friend.
God bless!

Thank you for the excellent rating and sharing your favorite line. I am glad you liked the poem, and felt it fit the genre. It was out of the box for me.

I gathered by your author notes that this was not your comfort zone. With that being said, you should definitely dabble in this genre more often. I think you have the knack for it.

A nicely atmospheric offering. The illustration fits the theme and conveys a sense of doom and everlasting creepiness. Let's hope nobody ventures out at night while she is around.

Thank you for the excellent rating and sharing your thoughts. I am glad you liked the illustration and the poem. I don't know, do you think she is evil or just lost? Although, I think any ghost like figure I would see would really be creepy; I don't think I could begin a conversation!

Interesting poem, I have not heard of this tale and unfortunately could not grasp the meaning of the poem. Is it an actual woman? I would like to know more. The pictures are both good and go well with the words.

As a child, I often heard legends of a mysterious person, usually a woman, who wandered in the night. No one knew who she was, (very convenient.) But people often swore with conviction, that the story was true and the one who originally told it was reliable. At any rate, these stories were a part of growing up. I dare say that if anyone I knew had ever seen her, they would probably still be running through the streets howling in fright. Thanks for the unintended humorous memory.

This is terrific, very haunting. "A soul lost forever, searching for home" That really captures the essence of the wandering soul that is caught between worlds. Good work. Hugs, Lou

I think you've done a really bang up job with your presentation and poem inclusion to Dean's book respa. The artwork works really well, and gives us the visual to perfectly complement the tale of the lady of legend.

Very nicely done! You're good at this. I hope you haven't gone to the dark side. *wink*

Thank you so much for the excellent rating and sharing these wonderful observations. I am glad you liked the presentation and poem, and it means a lot that you said I was good at it! I wanted to be a part of Dean's book, so the first thing that popped into my mind was the dark lady. I don't think I have "gone to the dark side." It was a bit out of the box for me, but I enjoyed doing it.
