Historical poetry. The best kind of learning done through the use elegance and metaphors. She was brave, but unfortunately that was not enough. You tell a good story in poetry form. Les

The miraculous beauty of Anne Frank is that she blossomed in those cruel conditions. "The mind is its own place. WE can make a hell out of heaven and a heaven out of hell." (Dante) I think Ann Frank was supremely aware of herself.; Remarkable for her age. -Ekim777

Yes, you are so right. There are many who believe the Holocaust never happened.

Your poem has great flow and super rhyme. It tells a great, but sad story. Good job with that aspect.

I see no changes. The artwork is awesome.

Thanks for sharing.

In a poem I previously wrote, " I was only doing my job is a familiar refrain of those who's job is to cause others pain. I will always have an issue with them as their claims of innocence never helped or saved not one murder victim." I do believe that this is appropriate for this situation.

Such a very well done story and I remember reading her tale. We must never forget. Ethnic cleansing of any form is abhorrent and the highest of crimes. We best not forget for they might come for us next.

This is a fantastic and moving poem. The subject matter is so important, especially when 'todays' generation is saying that the Holocaust did not happen. Hats off!!

Hi Mary, this is a wonderful dedication to a truly brave and heroic young lady, I have read her diaries and they made me weep, you are right, we should never forget the horrors of those years, their rememberance day is actually on my birthday on the 27th January.
Your rhyming, rhythm and wonderfully smooth poem does this brave nation justice my friend.

This poem recounts the horrors endured by the Jewish people and in particular Anne Frank and her family. It gives insight into the experience as seen by a young girl and as we know she became famous for her writings. We must never forget the holocaust so that history does not repeat.

Mary;
-what a masterful piece of writing. It brought back to horrific understanding of the time of the Nazi occupation and their horrific and unimaginable destruction of human life in the concentration camps. Your story of Anne Frank written in poetic format was absolutely wonderful.
-Your imagery was superbly and exquisitely expressive and vividly and demonstratively descriptive throughout the writing. Most of it I can visually see in my own mind's eye.
-Your rhyming words were contingent to the meaning and concept of each line therefore making the reading and rhythm flow smoothly. Also the writing was neither strained nor labored.
-The rhythmic meter, cadence, tempo and timing are all helpful in making the reading clear, wood and so very easy.
-You did an absolutely wonderful and exceptional job in writing this poem.
-Thank you for sharing and posting and may the good Lord be with you forever.
Alex
