You have obviously researched the Tlingit's culture and the way that the coming of the white man changed their culture forever. Smallpox was a deadly killer among the peoples of the New World who had no protection against it. I remember reading that the common cold also killed many. This story would make a great film, lots of native culture, action, and a grim reminder of an advanced civilization overpowering a primitive culture. Always amazing to me that the native peoples existed here for thousands of years, honored and sustained the game, fish and the land, while we, the white race, have almost destroyed it in less than three hundred years.

Very nice. I'm enjoying the story very much. I must have missed something about the Father. He must not be Catholic if he married and has a child. I like that you have him doing a lot of good. Shirley

Shirley, you've pointed out a good point. I surely should mention it is the Russian Orthodox Church. Many thanks for reviewing. Marie

Hi, Marie. One cannot imagine the loss of life due to different diseases that had no cure in years gone by...and especially in forsaken areas like the tundra of Alaska.
This is a very interesting screenplay. May I ask, have you attempted to sell it to any studios yet? I would suggest you make a list of characters at the bottom of the piece in the Author's Notes space.
Very well done so far, my friend. Bob

Thanks for reading this scene, Bob. I've made so selling attempt. Thought I'd wait until it's a finished product. Surely a list of characters will be helpful so I'll do that. Great to hear from you. Marie

I liked this touching play about VENIAMINOV and MIKHAIL venturing beyond he stockade walls to give smallpox vaccination to the outside tribe.
It's a very nice way to read history.

The A???A??A?C?? in notes really distracts from this otherwise well written, and interesting script. Needs to be eliminated.

To be correct the word ancestors needs a hyphen (ancestors' basket) but FS system puts in A??? instead. Oddly, on the edit system, the background portion does not appear so no correction can be attempted. I'll look in to it a bit more.
Thanks for your comments.
