I will add my prayers if that is okay. October's challenge was hard on many of us because it either affected us directly or a loved one. You wrote a lovely poem about your sister's journey. I hope each year we can see another step that Sue is making great progress until she is cancer free. My mum is a breast cancer survivor also. Thank you for sharing. Bravo. Sending prayers for Sue.

Hi Darlene Thanks you very much for your lovely words on my sister Sue's journey and yes it is a tough thing to go through but Sue is doing well so far and looking forward to having her reconstruction surgery in November. My prayers are for everyone going through this or any type of cancer so glad to hear your Mum is well also. ( My Mum is also having Chemo now for Chronic lymphatic leukaemia and she is 80 so not fair but doing Ok we are supporting Mum all the way. ) I hope no more for anyone so Sisters in arms we must stick together with positive thoughts Cheers Christine😀

That was really an agonised long journey of pain but resilient moved her ahead. Happy that is in a very safe condition now. Afflictions will not rise again in Jesus name. Thanks for sharing.

On some fronts we are winning the battle with big C. Breast Cancer has received a big step forward, recently. This is very well written with very good imagery.

A well written poem and so nice that your sister has you to support her and comfort her during such an awful time. I wish this awful disease didn't exist or any kind of cancer. I'm pleased to here she is healthy now.

Hi Chrissy, What a heart-felt moment of sharing your pain with you..I have no idea on how this would feel, but I could feel the words of your story hitting me like someone hitting me from behind a curtain. Your author notes were also very moving; the commentary behind the story poem was like watching a movie again, but with you helping to fill in the blanks..Very effective read...My condolences.

Hi Benjamin ,Thank you very much for you lovely review and heartfelt comments for Sue's Journey. this poem is very reflective for me and it covers exactly what happened a real shock for us all but thankfully everything is good at the moment. I have had quite a few friends die from cancer over the past few years and I feel sometimes as if we are all walking on hot coals to try to avoid it. My Mum is presently going through Chemo for CLL so I am back on the trail with her but Mum is coping pretty well at 80 ( not fair) Appreciate you support Cheers Christine😃

I am so glad your sister is in remission. Cancer is a terrible illness. I have seen grown men shrivel into nothingness as the Cancer eats their body. This is a well-written poem and thank you for sharing.

Thank you dmt1967 for reading my poem and your review much appreciated. Yes I have also seen two of our closest male friends shrivel into nothingness from CA and both in their early 50,s , and have quite a few other friends with it also . My friends husband and their 32 year old son are both struggling so it is a horrible disease. Sue is doing well so far and we are praying for her to stay so. Glad you thought my poem was well written. I will show Sue this today. Cheers Christine😃

Hi Christine - you have written an excellent poem about a very difficult subject - especially as it is about someone near and dear to you - your sister. You tell the story well in very good aabb rhyme throughout. I am glad she has been lucky and recovered from this awful big C. I wish her well and thank you for posting this story. Thank you also for the detailed author notes. Warm regards Dorothy x

This sounds like what my mum had because it was masked by the nipple
And misdiagnosed..I am so sorry. What are you doing to prevent it yourself? Take modified citrus pectin.. AvoId bread sweets ...eat clean
And hug her for me
God bless
