An insightful poem. I think everyone in North America including Canada are amazed at how well that comedian---Donald Trump is doing. If he wins, one has to wonder at what new silly heights American politics is heading. Well done, Tom.

Excellent photos that complement your Limerick Sonnet perfectly. They did have a big debate recently. I don't know if you mentioned the right persons. I agree about politics a Limerick like poem is best.

~I like your Limerick Sonnet about the republican debate. I am a democrat and not too interested in politics so I didn't watch the debate. I heard many things said about Donald Trump, he is such an idiot. The debate was probably a circus. Good job!

The trouble wth political poetry is its great today and forgotten tomorrow - bit like most of the candidates. Mind you the lyric I wrote about Clinton and Lewinsky ran for two years over here It was called Hurricane Monica! Now that was a bit of a blow!

I don't know any of your candidates, Tom, except Donald Trump, and I think the whole world has heard of him. Having just been through our elections here, I don't envy you having to sit through months of these debates. At the end of the day, all they promise is really more of the same. I am sure I could do a better job than my prime minister. Excellent poem, my friend. xsx Sandra
