We can learn a lot from animals, Tom. This beautiful piece reflects that peace. I'm afraid my love of bananas, nuts and my long arms means I'll only get peace from monkeys. Well done.

Thank you for teaching us about another sonnet form and including the endearing photo of the geese family. I enjoyed the echoes in your title and your rhymes plus the uniquely placed volta. Cheers- Joan, from Norway's fjords

Another interesting sonnet form. We are definitely journeying through another day another sonnet phase here. Yes the centra trametric couplet does stand out. You don't have to play hunt the volta here. Steps right out of the hexameter and slaps you round the face. The final hexametric quatrai is a far more subtle extension of the volta, viewing the lives of the geese in pleasant comparison with our own.

It is a pleasant form and yes, I do prefer my sonnets to keep to fourteen lines!

Yet an other form I never heard of. Lovely photo that complements your poem perfectly. Thanks for pointing out that the Couplet is the volta. You wrote about geese and happiness. An original subject and you stuck to the requirements.

An interesting sonnet form.

Love the description of the lazy summer day, where this feathered family of geese graze. Peaceful with no rush the little ones follow the parents. What will we give to have such a peaceful gathering with our families, with no cell phone and internet interfetences.

what an interesting rhythm. had to read it a couple of times but I really enjoyed it - except for the couplet that really interrupted the flow, IMO. I've often watched animals and wished my life could be as uncomplicated as theirs!

I really liked this poem. I think that the piece went along extremely well with the picture. The imagery was beautiful. I truly think the last line is perfect and so true.

I love this lazy feel poem. I love seeing the baby ducks and geese when I ride my bike through the park by the duck pond. I worried about them though when the park flooded as they didn't have their feathers yet. They seem to have survived though.

Writer sound a great statement in poetic structuring, sound out of awareness to us, for us to compare animals and our reality in world, how without government they, these beheld animals, still look back in peace -in my view
