The great truism in this poem is written succinctly and the points are made. Yes, we should visit God's store for our grocery shopping where we'll find lots of joy and peace on display. Well done, Tom.

Very clever, my friend. Congratulations on creating a new style sonnet. I will have a go at that one. I love your selfie too! You are becoming quite the expert in a number of ways. Your, Some Thoughts to Ponder, poem really are what they say they are, and I will be pondering on a few of them today. A very enjoyable poem, Tom. Well done. xsx Sandra

I love this beautiful poem. I like the rhythm the flow and the message. Your idea of Tricet Sonnet is unique and works so well to bring the message home.

Thank you very much Teresa.
Comment from Joan E.
I thoroughly enjoyed your new form and agree that triple, consecutive rhymes are lively along with your meter. I adored the magic you worked on the selfie, making it look like a pewter etching! I admired your reflections about "reality" and "inner peace". Here's to "JOY"--thanks for adding more to my day! Big hugs- Joan

A new form of sonnet, that's never done before, very creative and interesting. Whenever you find innerpeace there is no one on earth that will be able to disturb that peace. (My personal finding and experience)

How very original. I like it a lot. Just one quibble it doesn't seem ot me to be iambic trimeter more dactylic dimeter I'd say:
/ ^ ^ / ^ ^
What in re - al - i - ty
All the stanzas except three work perfectly and naturally to this rhythm. S4 can be pushed into it but it does not feel quite so natural. Because of the mathematical relationship between 2,3 & 6 it is possible to scan this as iambic trimeter but I don't think it sits as comfortably as the dactylic, although lines 1 & 2 of S4 are more comfortable as iambics.
Absolutely fascinating. How many angels did you say can balance on the head of a pin?
REVIEW REVISTED
I shall leave my original inplace so that the development can be traced. The emendations to the poem have improved the flowand maintained the dactylic meter throughout. The change to the notes more accurately reflects the meter in which the poem is written. This has been a worthwhile departure from the standard sonnet form.

You are right. I wrote it in Dactyl meter, then forgot. Glad you caught it. That's what I get for cut and paste.
-
Cut and past is it? Idle bugger!
-
Yup, indeed. I revised S4 and changed the notes. See what you think.
