Really good...particularly that last stanza..."make any shit you like up next" and your "welcome to the internet"! The rhyme makes this gleefully bounce along and you picked a great picture and personality for the theme. It's light. It's funny. It's effective!

Hi CD Richards..A most amusing ride into an introduction of memes. The Gandhi one was my favorite and I just got done with teaching a lesson on slavery that your meme seemed like an ironic epilogue to the study. Your last paragraph was the icing on the cake. I had to just laugh out loud because its sooo true. Thanks for the humor this afternoon. Sorry, I ran out of six stars this week. Take care and cheers.

Hahahaha! G'day mate. Bravo! Sadly I don't have a six left but I send you a virtual. This is beautifully written and very funny. It is actually one of the best I've read on here for quite some time. Well done, cheers Fez

A witty, fun, easy to read poem that entertains and leaves some food for thought. Good poetry does something for the reader... not just pretty words, but something... be it give a good laugh, bring a tear, point out the obvious.

I really enjoyed this poem. Entering the age of information where it seems to be making more than less informed, but misinformed.

I love the quotes, I loved outer edges of the theme, you even made this poem audience specific... as outside of fanstory, I don't know if the connection to a 'sixer' would have the same effect, but I found myself giggling because I could totally see a meme of Gandhi with a cheeseburger. (a McDonalds Cheeseburger to be exact)

I don't have anything to suggest for corrections, I was completely entertained.

Thanks so much, Turtle, for your uplifting review. I'm glad you got it, and liked it. I agree, if ever I reproduce it somewhere outside of FS, I'll have to change that "sixer" line. Speaking of which - thank you so much for that! Craig.

Well, I believe everything I read on the 'net, but some people are just plain untrusting ;-)

Thanks Jenny for your kind review.

Are you saying that the internet doesn't always convey the truth? Really?? I believe about maybe half of what I read as quotes on the internet.
Your poem is outrageously funny. Poking fun at gullibility is not politically correct. But heck with politically correct. Such amusement often a lot of fun.
This line of your design bears remembering:
"Not everything we see is true -- once unleashed, lies stick like glue."
Bravo! Wish I had a six rating remaining for this gem.
Blessings, Linda

Thanks so much for your very kind review, Linda - it's much appreciated. I know it's hard to believe that not everything on line is true to fact, but I'm convinced that's the case - I read it on the internet! Craig.

I can add to your list--not everything that's printed is truthful either. Many people think just because someone's put the ink on the paper, it's true. It's even worse with the internet.

Great line:
"...not everything we see is true --
once unleashed, lies stick like glue."

Well done, Crig!

LOL - it's Craig - that's my fault! My keyboard is possessed by a slightly dyslexic and pathetically bad typist demon. Thanks for the great review, Marietta.

LOL It is true, you can find everything in the internet. And you should not believe everything you read in the internet. As MT said.

You definitely got that right. I can't tell you how many arguments I have gotten in with my daughter when she finds an "irrefutable" fact on the net. " cows are delicious, eat and see- Mahatma G"- hilarious! And Ronald McDonald is vegan.

Really. The social media can turn anti-social quite quickly or even the simple most errant words an come back to you negatively. Best to keep your mouth shut!

There are times to speak up and times to remain silent. Hopefully we have the wisdom to know which is which - not sure I always get it right ;-) Thanks for reviewing my poem - comment much appreciated. Craig.
