Our poet reaches for t he cloudy skies and so she should with her imagination. It may be a gift from God. So she surges gracefully, unafraid. We can sense it in the cadence of her poem but some how , does the rhyme scheme match up. They seem rather tame to my ears.

It is pretty easy to see how this one took the top spot in the contest. Very nice imagery and sentiments expressed. You really get the feeling across of the flight, sight and so on.

Congratulations on this accomplishment. Sandra, The eagle is a soaring bird and yes to soar to be close to God...now that would be a flight I wouldn't want to miss.

every line has perfect rhyme.

I like "Fly in and out and shriek aloud."

This has strong verbs and a solid structure.

Wonderful poem for the writing prompt. I liked that you chose the eagle for your animal. Just to fly and see the beauty God created in all his creations. The flow and rhyme are excellent. Nice job with the form and rhyme scheme on this. I also liked that you selected the eagle as your animal. I never thought of how it must be to see through a eagle's eyes and i liked that imagery.
