My vote to win the contest. I read all of the entries, and yours best caught my attention as to what I was expecting to read. The simplicity of the limited syllable count requires a poet to arrange words craftily, which you have done.

This meets the contest requirements with a correct line and syllable count. I appreciate the truth expressed in your poem. Superficially it appears to be an enigmatic truth. On meditation we understand this is clearly and simply explained in the Bible. (Proverbs 2:2-7, 4:7-11; Jeremiah 10:23)
