Investing in the stock market is a choice. The person has to be able to lose the money and not go under. It is a strategy to increase your income without physically working for it. I like the descriptions and the format. knowledge is power and trusting the right broker is imperative to success. thanks

When I first looked at your illustration and read your title, I thought it had something to do with your heart. The illustration looks just like the picture on the machine monitoring my brothers heart in hospital. So, I am really happy it's about the stock market! You really are on a roll, and your prolix is making it hard for me to stay caught up before my trip--but I'm not complaining, since I always enjoy your work. This piece took a different direction, with a focus on investing. I liked your collage of "Ticker Tape Tales". With the help of good instincts, newsletters and a financial adviser, we have seen our 2008 losses reverse. I especially liked your play on "Wall," use of alliteration and upbeat rhymes in this sonnet. Here's to that "secret stratagem"! -Joan

That is something I don't dabble in, besides not having money I fear it would be too risky for me. Well written analysis of the pitfalls and highs. Good use of rhyming and good advice. I spotted one thing: line 3, investors' fortunes (more than one). Great montage. Faye

You use a disciplined poetic form to describe an activity that seems as random as a roulette wheel at the casino. You conclude with the word "stratagem" but I suspect things remain as dangerous as ever.
