A very well-written and extremely creative Calligram poem. A definite airplane is visible in the sketch. I like to keep my feet on the ground, just admiring airplanes from here.

I somehow missed this first in your recent, Calligram posts. I guess you were practicing before creating Santa's sleigh! I enjoyed your energized, rhymed reaction to flying. Cheers- Joan

I liked it and for a short poem it did make sense. Of course your going to get a high of flying because you love it and the scenery is beautiful in the sky.

Very well done. I really liked it. It looks very complicated and seems to require a lot of thought, planning and placement. I hope you continue to write calligraphy.

Another good Calligram.
It's interesting how that works out, a real art form in it's own way.
Thanks for sharing this with us.

Wow, this is really interesting. Never have seen a calligram before. Very cool. You also do a good job expressing the joy and thrill of flying. This was quite a treat, Tom.

Thank you, it was hard work, but fun to figure out. I've done a car and boat one too.

That must take you hours to do, Tom, very clever. Do you write it first then scan it? Or is it all done by computer? Whatever, it is really good. Your words made me smile, too! xsx Sandra

Thank you Sandra. Yes, it takes many hours. First I Google for drawings of the image I want to project to get an idea of the outline. Then I write the lines as I go. I get in the straight lines first. Then work on the special shapes. I'm always thinking about rhyming. But I do it as I go. The only computer I use is WordArt to get the words into various shapes. I really didn't know how to use it, but I'm learning as I go.

This is ingenious. I could not do this--it seems complicated but it is an effective form of expression in that you have a number of poems within the diagram as well as the more classical one below. Well done, Tom.

You get high and don't know why? It must be all that adrenaline rush from having too much fun. Poem well written and held reader's interest. Write on.
