Now here is a nicely crafted piece I can sink my teeth into. I especially loved:
He took that silver buckle and he gave it a fling
across the lonely back roads of his recent broken dreams. Very powerful statement that is incredibly relatable in so many ways.

Absolutely loved this! I am an AVID fan of rodeos but like you, there is nooooo way I'd ride a bull. Getting out of my recliner is all the thrill I can handle :) Have you ever put music to your songs? Your lyrics are outstanding and evoke deep emotions. In this one, such sadness and regret. Absolutely loved this! I am an AVID fan of rodeos but like you, there is nooooo way I'd ride a bull. bmwhsd: original theme; not a worn out subject. I agree . . . writing what we can't actually do for whatever reason, is the safe way to live large. However, one must experience as much of life as we can while we are still living. This poem was a joy to read. livelylinda

This is an interesting poem that the author has created with this piece of writing. They say size does matter in all things and only those who are small say that it is not the case. There can be a number of meanings drawn fro this and the rest is left to the imagination.

I worked with a guy who rode bulls and also sold and bought them, Being person born and raised in N.Y.C I had no clue about any of this stuff but I found out first hand through another's living experience and your song made me think of that person. a good song I could see people doing their two step to it do you have music as well?

Hello BMWHSD, I had to laugh about your yellow strip! My sixteen-year-old stepson, from Texas, used to ride bulls before he came to live with us in Michigan. He said it was thrilling. While your poem is very sad and I'm sure my bull riders end that way, but for a teenager it was a thrill. Your piece was written very well and the photo was perfect for your poetic art. Excellent. Hello BMWHSD, I had to laugh about your yellow strip! My sixteen-year-old stepson, from Texas, used to ride bulls before he came to live with us in Michigan. He said it was thrilling. A very nicely written poem about a cowboy and the love he lost. There were two surprises for me. The first being that he ever found her again, and the second that he died right afterwards! I've had a son and a step son who rode bulls. My step son was pretty good at it. I asked him why in the world he would possibly want to get on the back of a bull, and he told me it wasn't the ride, because there was nothing fun about that, but the fact that once he got up off the ground, he could walk out with any woman in the crowd! Guys!!
Loved the poem. It was unique and pleasant to read.

This is a sad story. I think the picture works well with the poem and I love the last line in the poem. 'She said it ain't the size of the buckle. It's the size of the man.' Thank you for sharing.

This is a great story in a poem. Good use of rhyme to carry the lines. Good use of many examples to show why the man is in the situation he is on.
I would change Albuquerque it is spelled wrong. I would spell it here, but it is one of "those" words.

On the 2 lines right before this comment, I would delete the word [and] in each one and use [ ; ] instead between the two parts.
