And then there are the near rhymes: the a,f and d lines all being close relatives as well as the c and e lines. It all hangs together like struggling with the jigsaw - all those pieces that so nearly fit, that ought to fit but... A nice match of form and content.

Thank you for continuing to experiment with this intriguing form. I enjoyed your rhyme scheme, but it's hard to believe that you like puzzles more than poetry--than again your poetry is often akin to a puzzle! In any event, your photograph captures the extent of your hobby. Cheers- Joan

Thank you Joan. Poetry is a passion. Puzzles an obsession.

Ah, yes, I understand the distinction. Smiles- Joan

The image is very fitting to the poem somehow. I can't quite put my finger on it, but the complete piece, poem and picture altogether, really works for me. And again, I do appreciate the nice quick read.

Yes. Certain obsessions are not exactly conducive to good relations, especially when they overwhelm the dining room table. I was not initially sold on this form, but you are making me a believer.

Thank you ravenblack. That's much better than boring you to death.

I cannot do these puzzles for the life of me. Your innate ability at analyzing and achieving a complete picture is truly amazing. Well done, Tom.

I do like this poem - not especially my favorite form but it works well in this one. I like the rhymes you used and the rhyme scheme.
