I was comforted by the note stating that no humans were harmed in the making of this piece. Not that I really think these rascals would ever intentionally harm their suckers, I mean owners. Except of course for the cat jumping on sensitive areas.

Wow, you have several pet children and they all are adorable. Is that their picture with your post? I love the way they entertain themselves by conniving different ways to irritate you. I especially liked Cassie's rescue story. Your crew, like most pets, are ruling the roost. 8-) I always say that a house with a pet/pets is a house full of love. And I think ALL the pets in this contest have done a great job telling their stories!!

Your vignette is reasonably imaginative slight-smile-generator but not a giggle stimulant. It is a bit too contrived for me, but such is often the case when the stimulation for a write derives from a competition rather than internal ideas.

You have my vote in this contest, Mikey! So, poor guy you're hoodwinked by your pets AND your wife. Wouldn't you just love five minutes inside one of your pet's heads? Very cute story. Love the self deprecating humor.

Great story. Each animal had it's own individual voice that reflected individual personalities. Animals are way craftier than we give them credit for. This was a fun read. Caroline

Sounds like your menagerie has you well and truly taped! Cats are the sneakiest usually. I love animal stories, especially of ones that seem to run the household! Did they really lose your work? Well written from the canine and feline point of view. Good luck in the contest. Faye

Love it, it could have been written about my house.I'm
convinced they know how to work us...they own us after all.

And the before dawn awakening...what's that all about? Our cat Phoebe does this by jumping from the headboard onto the sleeping person's chest. While the victim tries to catch his/her breath, Phoebe massages bare chest with her claws.

I love the story. I laughed all the way through it. The pets are out to get you. I really believe that. I have had many pets who seemed to gang together to get what they want. We all know Donna is not the only one with a soft heart. Your work gives you away. Great work.

Verrrry good, Mikey. I suspect YOU are the softie who gets all these animals, or at cuddle the strays as much as Donna does. Nice story told by the pet crew. I just don't understand why they would be mean to him, deleting his story. That just doesn't fit. He does walk the dog, after all. It was too much for a practical joke.

Michael:

Somehow I missed this writing prompt. I need to start paying better
attention to what's going on, lol! I have often wondered what our pets
think about us but I'm fairly sure we belong to them instead of the
other way around. I enjoyed your story.
good luck in the contest
thanks for sharing
