Sunshine shadows on the snow, the stark black and white is one of winter's treats and it is good of you to remind us. Just too many times walking the dog on the frozen walks, my reservations slip to aches on the rude awakening of pavement. King Boreas- can I sue him? Seriously though, venturing out, the fact that it is an effort, deepens the beauty.

I am impressed but it seems quite difficult to me.
You have done a great job using this style to put your ideas forth.
The image is perfect.
Your explanation of the style is quite helpful.:-) S

Thank you for sharing Minnesota's "sunshine shadows on the snow" this time of the year, in this wonderfully lyrical poem. I enjoyed your rhymes, repeats and use of alliteration. Your photograph reinforced the imagery perfectly. Enjoy winter- Joan

I love the first flush of snow, before it has been walked over and with the sun on it. This is a lovely photo, Tom and your poem is lovely too. What inspiration the different seasons and climates give us to work with. A lovely combination again, my friend. xsx sandra

This is a good poem and I like the picture. I find winter and snow is great when one has a hot chocolate and a roaring fire lol. Your poem was very well written and thank you for sharing.

First off, I want to thank you for your informative authors notes, and for teaching me something! I really appreciate your poem, because I love the snow. You capture some real beauty with your words, and I'm glad I stopped to spend some time with your poem.

Wow! I could almost love winter with the images you portray in the Canzone. I have to admit - I am not familiar with the style, but I plan to make myself familiar with it now. You really shine as a port in this one!
Funny thing - when I first read Canzone I had to do a double take because I thought you write Calzone. It was right before lunch, too! Made me hungry.
The last line is STELLAR! Great summary or concluding line which perfectly illustrated the photo.
Only one little thing I found which did not follow your detailed notes (thank you so much for those!) was this:
along the frozen fields and streets, This is actually eight syllables - it could be easily changed, reworded to follow the established pattern.
Great use of alliteration throughout. Nice rhyming scheme. I was hesitant about my rating - since I had pointed out the little error, but I found this poem so inviting I think it six star worthy and I know you will be diligent to fix the little blip.
Blessings!
Marsha

A very well thought out poem with perfect rhyming and alliteration. I especially liked these lines as to me the wonder of it is a show:
"sunshine shadows on the snow.
To miss this is a lost opportunity
to view an artistic show."
Well done, Tom.
