You have captured the feeling of true romance in your story. Seemingly different characters, yet they find something in common and her spirituality rubs off on him. Well narrated story with likeable characters and it read really well. Enjoyable read, good luck in the contest. Faye

From the picture, it looks like a beautiful, serene place, where you could really relax, pray, or just get lost in your own thoughts. I liked the contrast between Hope and Pete. The description of Hope's freckles dancing made me smile, as I have freckles. Hated them when I was younger because everyone always thought they were so cute. I have grown to accept them!

What a lovely romantic story. Yes, opposites certainly attract in this one. The guy who doesn't believe and the girl who is a true believer. A lovely story showing how love can grow in such a short time. Love the last line where he is on the balcony of his cabin...Thank you Lord for all this ...but especially for giving us Hope. Very clever. A great story for this competition. Good luck. Genya

I love the way this poem starts; the first line really pulls the reader in. The romance was decent and sweet. Loved the dialogue as well.

My High School sweet heart went to Millikin University.
This was an interesting take on opposites attract. I found it entertaining and enjoyed it very much. I would say she was good for him. LOL Loved the punch Line. Soooo cool.
"Thank you, Lord, for all this . . . but especially for giving us Hope." Well done. Good Luck. Nancy
