This is an interesting poetic structure and well suited to your your admiration of 'water' the life giver to both plants and all living things. I liked these lines:
"soon blossoms show
and so
grow.
Well done, Tom.

Nice to see a flourishing garden in December!
Rain nourishes while beautifying petals;
Nice alliteration:
"refreshing renewal";
I don't blame you for photographing this floral display--thank you for sharing as winter draws near.

Comment from Sandra Stoner-Mitchell
It is lovely to look back on the warmer times in the year, and you garden shows the love and care you put into it. Yes, after the rain the flowers perk up and show a sort of appreciation, by opening up and standing straight, and giving us such beautiful natural scents to blow our minds. Wonderful poem, Tom, and the photo brightens my day. :) Sandra.

Thank you Sandra. This little garden was actually in a parking lot at a shopping center.

Well, you must write something that en-captures your garden, even if it's a lovely pot plant! :)

Yes, you captured the refreshed garden and your presentation is striking. I'm glad Lakeport's work helped to inspire your own Lucky 13. I enjoyed your rhymes and the image in the line "one wonderful transformation that the flowers embrace". Cheers and happy Sunday- Joan

What a refreshing photo to the delight of the eyes and soothing feelings to the heart. You might have been smiling all the way writing this beautiful poem. Not only that the message you conveyed was truthful, but made a unique structure which you called it Lucky 13. The rhyming added joy to read to the complete package of piece. Thanks for sharing.} Lin

Hi!
This is very creative and most enjoyable to read. This is not an easy format for most folks, but you seem to have it down pat!
You created a serene atmosphere as I imagined the flowers coming into bloom after the rain, surrendering their beauty to the rest of the world. Very nicely done!
Wishing you the very best and a wonderful Christmas ...

This is a beautiful poem and very nicely presented. I like the fact that a steady rain does renew the plants as the drink and have a bath. Blessings Pat
