Yes, it's so true, it's useless on a large plane, sitting in the four innermost seats, so theoretically one would have to be sitting near the window, so the plane would need to be smallish, beautifully written Patricia, like you, I've taken many flights, but always as on economy, well done, blessings Roy

I thought this was a fascinating piece. But I do question whether the cloud shown in your photo is an example of stratus fractus cloud. It appears to me to be cumulus fractus (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fractus_cloud). That, of course, is not really important, but I thought I should mention it.
Some typos, SPAGs and suggestions:
'for all the world one looked like an apparition' This does not really work. Expressed in this way 'one' looks as if it is meant to be the pronoun version of the word, but then it does not make sense with the rest of the sentence. Everything is clarified if you insert 'of them' after 'one').
'pilots rainbows' should be 'pilot's rainbow'
'was [a] bit bumpy'
'It was with great gratitude' (This phrase does not work in the context of this sentence. I suggest you change the phrase to 'I was so glad').
'one of the best flights I had ever been on' (Change 'had' to 'have').

Sounds like it was a fun flight. It is so easy to see different shapes in the cloud formations. Good use of descriptive language and imagery and well related. Enjoyable read. Faye

Capitalize the first word in a new quotation. "(W)hat is it you see?"

I reviewed this and it showed up again. See what happens.Good one Sis. We do have mystery flight in Australia. Never been on one. You pay a set price for the ticket and you have no idea where you are gonna end up.

Clouds are natures artwork. I have seen so many visions in clouds in my lifetime. They can really relax me when I'm tense. I enjoyed reading this well written short story. It was very entertaining. I found nothing in the way of a suggestion for it... John
