I have family in Minneapolis, so I can easily picture the wondrous sites that you describe.
I have wonderful memories of endless hours of fun playing in leaf piles with my cousins. My kids have never had that opportunity.
Your well-wrought verse brings back marvelous memories.
Hugs, d

Interesting concept of poetry. The photo really enhances your strong worded write. Pretty place to live. Yes, it is a short season.

This is a beautiful poem with all the beautiful colors depicting autumn. I was infatuated by the picture and also the poem on a red background. The description and the beauty of expression are elegant and great. Well written, and the picture, truly depicts the theme. My sincerest congratulations. Dom.

First of all, Mr. 'T', if you took the photograph on October 17, 2017, then I have been taking way too much medication and heave been in a coma for three years, LOL. Okay, now that that's out of the way...
You poem was absolutely exquisite, in every way, shape and form imaginable. There are many poetic devices at play here; wonderful consonance and assonance, a perfectly flowing, wonderfully written poem in brilliant iambic meter, rife with vibrant, vivid imagery of the fall season.
Absolutely breathtaking!

Treischel! This is a lovely poem. I can almost HEAR crunching leaves underfoot as I read it. I really appreciate the details about the poetic style in your author's notes. Very important to those of us still learning that there is more to writing poetry than meets the first glance.
Not sure if you are meaning for "Oh!" to be all in caps as you have it in this line: "And OH, this is a lovely time of year!" I do understand if you are wanting it that way for emphasis. Personally, I think the caps draw the eyes to that line and almost made me miss the rest of the exquisite poem.
Thanks for sharing.
Blessings,
Marsha

What a lovely picture, those colours of autumn are spectacular. Your poem is equally colourful with its lovely images of autumn. Good use of descriptive language and rhyming. I had never heard of this poetic form, it worked very well in your poem. Most enjoyable Faye

Autumn has always been my favorite time of year, this poem reinforced that feeling and gave me the thoughts of the pleasures that autumn brings. I am sure God must've been having one of his better days when he painted the beautiful autumn days
the words are uplifting and yet make me feel so humble

I agree the seasons we love the most are always too short. Great rhythm throughout. Very nice abab rhyming pattern. Also, the colors you mention is the best part about autumn. Well crafted. Les
